Extra Special/Strong Bitter (English Pale Ale)
The flavor is quite good. Nice malty character, but a little less hop bitterness than I had wanted. Maybe 0.25oz more chinook next time.
Color was a medium amber. Kind of like a SA Boston Ale.
Mouth feel was very full and thick (from all the oatmeal).
Head retention was good. After an initial thick stiff head, it fell to a good lace which remained for the whole glass.
Aroma was hoppy with a touch citrus and little touch of maltiness.
Overall I like it quite a bit. Not sure what to compare it to. Might be nice to make it attenuate a little more next time for a little crisper finish. I would make this again.
