Recipe does not conform to the American IPA style.
Starting at 90 minutes, slowly and evenly add hops throught out the boil. (approx 0.25 oz every 7.5 minutes)
Mash @ 149 with a rest @ 122
105 minute boil
Extract: Replace all but 1.75 lbs of the Pilsner with 8 lbs DME. Steep all crushed grains for 45 minutes. Boil same as all grain
Recipe called for 16+ lbs of 2-Row and Whitbread yeast. This gave an FG that was WAY to high (in the 1.030's), so I reduced the 2-Row to 14 lbs, and used American Ale yeast instead for better attenuation.
May want to use Whitbread yeast first, though, and pitch on to second yeast cake to finish?
