Recipe conforms to the Fruit Beer style.
Graf is a combination of cider and beer. It comes from the Stephen King books, "The Dark Tower" and is described as in a variety of ways from being almost entirely cider with small amounts of malt and hops to being strong enough to make your eyes water.
This is a favorite for light-beer drinkers and cider lovers. This recipe is tart, sweet and refreshing!
This is basically a gallon of Amber DME-wort mixed with 4 gallons of apple juice. Make 2-gallons of wort with 1lb of DME. Expect to lose a gallon over an hour. Add 4 gallons of apple juice to cool it down, pitch yeast and close it up. It should be around 1.045 OG. After 2 weeks in a fermenter (with a blowoff tube the entire time) you should come down to 1.008 FG. (4.86%ABV) When bottle conditioning, estimate lower than a carbonation calculator will give you.
