Recipe does not conform to the American IPA style.
Used Mosaic rather than Citra. You could use Pale LME and it would save you probably $12, but I prefer DME. Steep Golden Promise for 30 minutes at 155 F in 3 gallon water. In a separate pot, boil water to 175 to rinse the grains at the end of the steep. You could also just remove grains and bring up boil to 175 and rinse them over the pot. Add 4# DME, bring to boil add first hop addition and start your 60 minute boil. Zest 4 blood oranges, remove pith/peel and add fruit to bowl with zest. Put all of this in a muslin bag to remove fruit easier after fermentation (this will go in fermenter--use bucket). At 15 minutes to end, add remainder of DME, next hop addition. You could add some irish moss and yeast nutrient at this point as well. Add remaining hop additions at 5 and 0. At 0 add muslin bag with fruit and zest. Chill down to 180 or so. Hold temp between 170-160 for 20 minutes. Fruit flavors will boil away if boiled longer--this temp will sanitize as well. I think this would be great without Blood Orange, but that's the request. At completion of fermentation, rack off yeast and fruit into a 5 gallon carboy and dry hop for 10 days with last ounce of hops. Cheers!
