Recipe conforms to the Fruit Beer style.
Begin boil with first hop addition, as well as, two pounds canned pumpkin.
this will produce thick gelatin-like material at top of pot, Scoop off and discard.
at the half way mark of your boil, I added: 1 Tbs ground cinnamon .5 Tbs Allspice 1 Tbs Pumpkin Pie Spice .5 Tbs Nutmeg
I also used Irish moss with the second hop addition.
This was the first beer I brewed from scratch. The conservative malt bill reflects as much. This beer is very drinkable, but with good spice flavor. Next year, I will probably double the malt bill and add pumpkin in secondary fermentation. (recipe will follow)
