First Time Homebrewer...HELP
Hey guys, so I am about to tackle my first ever batch of beer. I have a few books and obviously the internet but the whole mashing process is confusing me. I am looking at doing a single infusion, batch sparge. I get the process but what I can't seem to understand is how to calculate how much water I need to start out with because I don't know how much wort I want to end up with. Is there a calculation for this? It would probably be good to point out now that I am horrible with math so this is why I am so confused. Any help would be awesome! Thanks!
