Notes
60 minute mash 145-154 degF; OG 1st Runnings: 1.036 corrected. Combined 1.025 corrected. Yeast pitched at 85 degF. Post boil OG: 1.054. FG: 1.008. Kegged 7/8/12.
Tasting notes (7/11/12): Substantial citric hop aroma, decent head retention -- frothy. Reminiscent of grapefruit juice with a tiny hint of lemon. Love the citrus character of the amarillo hops in this brew. The wheat and the hefe yeast contribute a bit of ester on the nose and contribute to the body. Full-flavored with a subtle malt backbone to balance the hops. This is a bitter beer, but in a pleasant way. Goes down mighty easy.
